Join the xMinds Bike to the Beach 2019 Team

xMinds family members, educators, and friends will be participating in the Washington, DC Bike to the Beach (B2B) Ride again this August. This year, xMinds is supporting the ride as a Silver Level Community Partner, which means that xMinds will receive 100% of the funds our team raises! Help us exceed our goal by donating today!

Last year, our B2B team raised over $6,000, which allowed us to expand our programming to include a self-advocacy workshop for teens and to work on some of our strategic priorities. B2B allowed xMinds to achieve its financial goals, but along the way we discovered additional, unexpected benefits. Belonging to the xMinds B2B team fostered new relationships between xMinds members who hardly knew each other before joining the team. xMinds grew much closer and stronger as an organization thanks to the new bonds that formed between teammates. All of our team members had a child on the autism spectrum, and we found that spending time and working towards a shared goal with families who understand the experience of living with autism was invaluable for all of us.

Please consider joining our team. The ride is a great way to get in shape and to form relationships with other xMinds parents. Our team will be participating in both the 100 and 50 mile ride to Dewey Beach, Delaware on Friday, August 2, 2019. Team members do not have to be xMinds members! If you have friends who are really into biking, please invite them to join the team. We have several training rides scheduled for the summer, so we'll make sure you're in shape for the big day.
