"... the most important considerations in devising educational programs for children with autistic spectrum disorders have to do with recognition of the autism spectrum as a whole, with the concomitant implications for social, communicative, and behavioral development and learning, and with the understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the individual child across areas of development."
—Educating Children with Autism, 2001

There are thousands of resources available now to advise parents, teachers, and therapists about autism and Asperger's Syndrome. We recommend resources that we believe to be the most valuable or promising as they pertain to educating students with autism and Asperger's Syndrome.

We include resources that contribute to achieving at least one of our seven stated goals; offer new perspectives or strategies; and are better than others like it. Our list of resources will change as new materials are published, and we appreciate recommendations for resources that you have found particularly useful.
